Do you remember a time when you used to take your camera to Boots and actually print your holiday photos off? As in real, physical, photos? The excitement of going back a day later or, if you were feeling particularly flush, an hour later, to collect your photos and see just what you had captured on holiday … I miss those days!
I couldn’t tell you the last time I printed a photograph and it’s a shame isn’t it? Because as wonderful as it is that our phones store thousands of photographs now (my phone currently has over 4,000 on it!), it’s only me that gets to see. I miss having photos in frames dotted around the house and sharing the images I’ve captured when I’ve been travelling.
Inkifi recently got in touch with me to see if I would like to review their product, and it sounded perfect.
Inkifi was created by two Welsh guys (Jim and Paul), back in 2008, after they’d travelled the world together and wanted to print and share the digital images they had taken of all the wonderful places they’d visited. They were looking for a company who could print their photos in a high quality, who were environmentally friendly and at an affordable price, and when they realized no company like this existed, Inkifi was born.
I chose to order 48 square photos from my Instagram account, but there are lots of other different products to choose from:
- Square Prints
- Mini Squares
- Framed Prints
- Vintage Prints
- Mini Prints
- Photostrips
- Postcards
- Mini Book
- Poster Prints
- Fine Art Photo Prints
- Greeting Cards
- Gift Cards
It was difficult to know what the quality of the paper/card the photos would be printed on, what size they would be on, (I mean I know what size they were meant to be on, but if you’re anything like me I can never quite picture what it’s going to look like in my head!), but I was really pleasantly surprised.
The photos took a week to be created and delivered and they came extremely well wrapped up and protected – with a pice of cardboard on the top and bottom of the photos with bubble wrap wrapped around them.
I’m so happy with my photos, and I’m going to do something I haven’t done in years – buy a photo album! I also have one photo frame that is perfect for putting one of this 10cm x 10cm photos in … it was tough deciding which one, but I settled on this one … a photo of me in front of the Eiffel Tower. Such happy memories of my trip with my friend Alice and I hope it will inspire me to book another trip soon.
- Square photos available in sets of 8, 24, 48 and 72.
