Following on from Amanda’s wonderful Christmas Gift Guide for ladies who love to travel, I’m bringing you the male equivalent today. Of course, lots of these gifts are interchangeable and would suit everyone!
These are gifts I’ve taken time to choose that I think would be perfect for men who love to travel. I’ve chosen items that I feel are affordable but still luxurious and I hope you’ll agree that they make perfect Christmas presents.
First up is the GoPro Sling Pack from Thule. If you’re anything like me, a GoPro is at the top of your Christmas wishlist this year and if you’re lucky enough to already have one, or if might get one this year, this bag is not only ideal for keeping your GoPro safe, the across-the-shoulder strap means that you can safely transport your GoPro wherever you happen to be, whether that’s skiing down a mountain or slowly walking home from the in-laws after Christmas dinner.
The sling contains a padded compartment for up to 2 GoPro cameras, LCD backpacks, remote control, extra batteries and SD cards. Everything is removable which makes the sling easy to clean and the organisation panel also enables you to store your chargers, cables and strap mounts.
It’s sleek, lightweight and perfect for any action man (or woman) in your life.
RRP – £69.99
Next, is the range of wireless chargers from Fonesalesman. If you’re like me, my entire life is contained within my phone (I currently use an iPhone 6), and we all know how the battery life can be a little … disappointing. I’ve tried additional battery packs before but you can always guarantee I will forget the charger needed to plug into the battery pack. Does this sound familiar?
Wireless chargers are definitely the way forward and I have been sent two to review:
iQi Mobile for iPhone – thin wireless receiver
Place the thin wireless receiver in the port where you would put your charging cable and secure the thin, rectangular patch under your iPhone case. If you have a Samsung Galaxy, this needs to be placed in the battery compartment.
This is a stylish wireless power bank that, as the name suggests, looks like a stone, and once you have followed step 1 (above), you can simply now place your phone on top of the QiStone+ and it will begin charging.
WoodPuck charging pad
You keep the wooden charging pad on charge and simply place your phone on top – equally ideal for the bedside table or office.
Everything is easy to set up and I’m charging my phone as we speak. Once the QiStone+ is charged, you are ready to go … minus all cables!
Music is a very important part of my life, especially when I’m travelling, and headphones are always the first thing I pack in my rucksack. However, once I’ve reached my destination, I like to have music playing in the background, but what do you do about speakers? Music on my phone just isn’t loud enough! That’s why this portable speaker by Marley, is perfect for music-loving travellers.
The Chant Mini portable Bluetooth audio speaker by House of Marley balances style and substance. It has bamboo detailing, a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and auto reconnect Bluetooth capabilities … and up to six hours of wireless play.
