Most things I do in life now revolve around comfort. How comfortable are the seats on the plane? How much legroom is there? How warm will I be? How cold will I be? Should I risk wearing jeans and a tight waist band?
You’d think I was 70-something instead of 40-something.
I am particularly known for being rubbish wearing any shoes that aren’t flat. Even when I was young, I could never quite balance on tottering high heels like my friends but now I’m of a certain age I have to try and balance comfort and style because if I don’t, I risk looking older and I already feel.
Which brings me onto today’s #FridayEdit. Today I’m going to bring you three of the most comfortable yet stylish shoes for travelling I have found. I always think you should treat your feet well on holiday by bringing proper footwear and the trick is not to over pack shoes that you just don’t need. For travel shoes, three is the magic number.
First up, we have a gorgeous pair of leather sandals from Clarks. Don’t make a snap judgement, I know Clarks have a ‘certain’ image, but I’ve always found their shoes incredibly comfortable and they’re really stepping up (pardon the pun) on the style front.
You can’t beat a pair of Converse for comfort. In fact, I have five pairs! You can buy them in most department stores so easy to find. And it makes me feel ever-so slightly younger than I really am.
And finally, I ‘may’ have just bought these boots from M&S. They are SO comfortable and if I’m travelling in colder weather they’re perfect. Chelsea boots never go out of fashion.
Hope you like my choices and please look out for next Friday’s #FridayEdit.
