Most things I do in life now revolve around comfort. How comfortable are the seats on the plane? How much legroom is there? How warm will I be? How cold will I be? Should I risk wearing jeans and a tight waist band? You'd think I was 70-something instead of 40-something. I am particularly known for being rubbish wearing any shoes that aren't flat. Even when I was young, I could never quite balance on tottering high heels like my friends but now … [Read more...]
Monochrome Swimwear : Winter Sun
Today I'm thinking about monochrome swimwear. Timeless and sophisticated, who doesn't love how versatile monochrome colour schemes are, especially I think in bikinis, swimsuits and kaftans? Each of these pieces would suit most shapes and sizes. By adding a cover, take you from lazing or splashing around in the pool to going for wander around the area, or add a heel, and maybe a bright thin belt to draw in the waist, and well, all the way to a … [Read more...]
Afternoon Tea at the Lancaster Hotel, London

The Eden Project partners with the Youth Hostel Association (YHA) and offer a sleeping solution for visiting guests called Snoozeboxes. A Snoozebox is a small hotel room in a shipping … [Read more...]
Grange Wellington Hotel : A Hidden Gem
I always find staying in hotels one of life's most glorious luxuries. Especially if I find myself in a room on my own. Now don't get me wrong, I love holidaying with Dexter but there's something really decadent about spending the night alone in a hotel room. And a couple of weeks ago, I found myself doing just that. Dexter was away for the week with his school and BritMums Live blogging conference was taking place that weekend. I was due to be … [Read more...]

Yes, it’s a little windy and living in the UK means I live my life being prepared for every weather eventuality, but the sun is shining at last. I’m going to Turkey in July and the countdown has most definitely begun. I debated whether to tell my son about the holiday, fearing the constant, “How many … [Read more...]
